Welcome message from Paula DeWitt

Welcome to the Chilliwack Community Band. If you are reading this, you probably have a great

interest in band music! It has been a lifelong dream for me to conduct a band and to that end I am

thrilled to be given an opportunity to make music and guide the wonderful musicians of the CCB.

With a lifelong passion for music, I hope to bring energy and vitality to all those I work with. Core to

my belief is that learning is a two way street, and that musicians thrive by working collaboratively

whatever their background is.

We hope you will consider joining our band or attending one of our future concerts.

Paula DeWitt

Musician / Conductor

Interested in joining and playing some music?

No audition is necessary, and we encourage musicians to come to a few rehearsals to get a feel for our group.

If it's been 20 years since you've played, that's perfect!

Dust off your instrument and come join us once a week to benefit from music therapy.

We're patient, welcoming, and understand that you may feel overwhelmed at first but we want you to keep

coming and push yourself... the skills you once had will come back!

High School Student memberships are only $1.00 per year. There is potential to earn extra credits for volunteer

hours at your school; talk to your music teacher to see if our non-profit community band qualifies.

Rehearsals: every Tuesday 7 pm-9 pm at Cooke’s Presbyterian Church 5825 Wellington Ave,

Chilliwack, BC V2P 2E1
